A Snapshot of Your Day
Focuses on optimizing material and service procurement to ensure high delivery capability, reliability, and cost-effective manufacturing. Responsibilities include analyzing material availability, expediting purchases, and creating purchase orders to guarantee timely material supply. It involves tracing supplier ordering and delivery processes to address issues promptly, checking supplier invoices for discrepancies, and supporting supplier management schemes. Participation in working groups helps inform and influence product and supplier policies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Preparing and conducting contract and price negotiations to contribute to the profitability of the company.
2. Pinpointing of procurement strategies to ensure the long-term, cost-effective supply of materials.
3. Monitoring the national and international market to bring new suppliers, product derivatives, and product innovations into the purchasing portfolio.
4. Maintain contacts with interface partners to recognize developments (in market, demand, etc.) and exert influence accordingly.
5. Producing price forecasts and internal figures to supply basic data for corporate planning (costing data) and reporting.
6. Performing target/actual comparisons, producing analyses, deriving measures to create transparency in procurement activities.
7. Tracing supplier related NCR and take lead in NCC claim.
8. Monitoring contractual agreements to prepare renegotiations/subsequent negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies.
9. Participating in working groups and cooperation in projects to inform oneself and others and to bring controlling expertise into procurement processes.
What You Bring
1. Bachelor's degree, Major in automation or electrical/mechanic is better.
2. Good command of English speaking
3. At least 3-5 years related technical experience
4. Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of power equipment engineering and applies through successful completion of assignments.
5. Self-motivated with strong customer focus
6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
7. Strong emphasis on quality of work and Siemens Energy values
8. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form in English and in Chinese and to interface with in a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.
